HAVING IT ALL
“You can’t have it all."
The phrase that we’ve all heard in different ways, in different seasons, from well-meaning and well-intentioned people who probably were told the exact same phrase by people close to them. “You can’t have it all” is a belief held by 99.9% of people on this earth and has been passed down since the dawn of time.
I want to be the .01% to remind you that you can have it all.
I was recently at an event where the host, a billionaire, said to the crowd, “My wife, my kids, helping people through my business, I truly have it all.” While his all looks different from my all which will be different from your all, wanting to have it all is not selfish or bad - do not let the world tell you that it is.
Wanting to have it all simply means that you:
Have identified everything you want
Are willing to commit yourself to doing whatever it takes to get those things
Truly believe that you can have those things
While the journey to having it all will require sacrifice (like we talked about last week!), when I think forward to the day of when I will have my all, here is what I tell myself:
Having my all will not be on everyone else’s time frame
Having my all will require the road less traveled
Having my all will require more dedication than average
Having my all will require me to water my own grass instead of wishing I was somewhere or someone else
I believe in you and your all.
