WHY YOU NEED TO BE ATTENDING EVENTS + CONFERENCES
If you want to go further in business and in life, you need to attend events and conferences. Here’s why: It is one of the most important investments you can make, an investment into yourself.
Watching webinars online and reading books are great tools to push you further, but nothing will ever replace the power of physically being in a room where ideas, energy, relationships, and the best entrepreneurs and thought leaders of our generation collide in real time.
My life changed when I began prioritizing attending events because they are a shortcut to growth.
Here’s why:
1. You are in proximity to the best in the game
You’ve heard it before: You become like the people you spend the most time around.
And it’s true. Investing your time and money to attend an event with driven, forward-thinking entrepreneurs forces you to level up. You’ll walk away with better ideas, better questions, and better connections because you were around people who think bigger.
I am very picky about the events I attend and you should be, too. When you are picky about the events you attend and who you decide to let speak into your life, you will get more out of the event, I promise.
2. You learn what Google can’t teach you
You can Google strategy, but you can’t Google someone’s story, energy, or life lessons. Hearing real people share real wins, losses, pivots, and breakthroughs will teach you more in one weekend than six months of trying to figure it out alone.
3. You decide to take inspiration into productive action
It’s not enough to attend an event and leave, you have to decide to take your inspiration and turn it into productive action.
When you learn and decide to take an invaluable experience that ignites a fire under you, you learn to let that energy recharge your vision and push you to new levels. The right events will get you out of your everyday bubble and into a space where you are clear and urgent on what needs to be done when you get home.

When I want to travel, 90% of the time, I book my travel around an event or conference. It allows you to get out of your routine, see a new space, and learn from the best of the best.
