PRICE VS. COST
Every decision we make, whether we realize it or not, either has a price or a cost:
Price is what you pay upfront.
Cost is what you pay over time.
Price is:
Immediate discomfort
Sacrifice
The moment you choose discipline over what’s comfortable
The early morning alarm, the late nights working, eating healthy, and exercising when you don’t feel like it
Cost is:
The buildup of regret
Feeling behind because of past decisions
Doors that slowly start to close when you don’t move
The impact of the choices not made at the time when we probably should’ve made them
The reality is that we’re conditioned to make decisions based on price and what feels hard right now. But those who create real change and true long-term fulfillment make decisions based on cost - they know the pain of discipline is temporary.
So ask yourself:
What’s the price of staying the same?
What’s the short-term discomfort I’m avoiding and what is it really costing me?
The life you want has a price, but it also protects you from the cost of staying stuck. And the more willing you are to pay the price now, the more freedom and happiness you create later.
Short-term pains. Long-term gains.
